Hi everyone,
As you may know St. Clement Shrine will be going live with 24/7 adoration starting Aug. 15. People have asked about books and good reading to have while at the shrine. AdorationBoston now has a wishlist on Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/wishlist/3D0K2ZJK9FCVO
Anyone who'd like to donate books to the bookcase that will be there for adorers is encouraged to do so. The books will be donated for in-shrine use. Consider purchasing used books - they're much cheaper. We haven't populated the wish list completely yet - but there's also a much more comprehensive listing of books that is also part of the Adoration Boston wishlist - Amicizia Cristiana's goodreads library has hundreds of good books that have been screened by faithful and orthodox theologians and organizations like EWTN, USCCB, Catholic TV, etc.
Here's the link to their profile:
http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/99134
The easiest way to get the books to us is to have it shipped directly to the shrine. Here's the address:

Thu, May 7 | Dedication to Mary Crowning Ceremony
The 1st Thursday Women’s Prayer Group is hosting the May Dedication to Mary Crowning Ceremony in lieu of the regular May prayer group and we hope you will be able to join us for this very special event!
We will begin with praying the rosary then have the crowning ceremony. Refreshments will be served afterward. You are invited to bring a flower to place before the Blessed Mother. All are welcome!
This event is hosted by St. Clements 1st Thursday Women’s Prayer Group.
“The queen symbol was attributed to Mary because she is a perfect follower of Christ, who is the absolute ' crown ' of creation. As the Order of Crowning states:
She is the perfect follower of Christ. The maid of Nazareth consented to God ' s plan; she journeyed on the pilgrimage of faith; she listened to God ' s word and kept it in her heart; she remained steadfastly in close union with her Son, all the way to the foot of the cross; she persevered in prayer with the Church. Thus in an eminent way she won the "crown of righteousness, " [See 2 Timothy 4:8] the "crown of life," [See James 1:12; Revelation 2:10] the "crown of glory" [See 1 Peter 5:4] that is promised to those who follow Christ.”

Apr 18-19 | Boston Catholic Men's and Women's Conferences
Tim Van Damm sends the following message on the upcoming Boston Catholic Men's and Women's Conferences:
Hi everyone. I wanted to pass on a recently made promotional video for the Boston Catholic Men's and Women's Conferences. The conferences have had a profound impact on my faith life and I encourage you to not only come but to bring someone who may be outside the Church with you. Jim and Kerri Caviezel (Jim played Christ in the Passion) are speaking this year in addition to many other excellent speakers.
The Conferences are being held at Boston College in Conte Forum. The Men's Conference is on Saturday, April 18th and Women's Conference is on Sunday, April 19th - Divine Mercy Sunday. Tickets are $44 (which includes lunch) and can be purchased at www.catholicboston.com. Confessions and Adoration will be available throughout the day and we'll end with a mass said by the Cardinal. If you've never been, I strongly encourage you to come.
If you've been in the past, you know it's a powerful day and again, I encourage you to come. We as Catholics are called to evangalize and to spread the truth. The Boston Catholic Men's and Women's Conferences are great forums to be able to do just that. I've had some close personal friends who were not going to Mass come with me on several occasions and the effect has been inspiring.
St. Clement's is such a strong community and it would be a shame not to have a strong represenation at the conferences. Please let me know if you have any questions.
